We attended the Okta Oktane 2018 conference last week in Las Vegas, and it was a great conference. It was neat to see Vegas being decked out for the Stanley Cup Finals, but the key takeaways from the conference for us were:

1. Consumer/Customer IAM (CIAM) is going to be important for Okta growth in the future.
2. Multi-Factor Authentication is an accepted best practice. However, companies are now finding themselves in a situation with multiple products, which hurts user experience.
3. We are still a long way from having a saturated cloud market. If cloud transition was the Stanley Cup, we’re still in the first period of game 1 of a series that will go the full 7 games.
